Craig Santos Perez is a native Chamorro from the Pacific Island of Guam. He is the editor of two anthologies and author of three books of poetry. He has received fellowships from the Ford Foundation and the Lannan Foundation, and he is the first Pacific Islander author to receive the American Book Award. He is a professor at the University of Hawaiʻi, Mānoa.
